Counseling Experience

Carolyn Wolfe has a variety of counseling experience including work in an outpatient, residential, and private practice setting. Areas of specialized training or expertise include:

Carolyn is a Virginia State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Masters training in Marriage and Family Therapy at Virginia Tech. She also has specialized training in Internal Family Systems Therapy, an innovative approach to therapy aimed at providing nonpathologizing treatment for a variety of psychological issues, and Theraplay, an attachment based approach to play therapy. She completed certification as a yoga instructor with Beyond Asana in Philadelphia, PA and often incorporates a holistic approach into her work with clients. In addition, she has received training in SSP,  EMDR, and Brainspotting. Three highly effective, brain based therapies.
